Hi Everyone!
I knew that the J. Crew Regent Blazer in Red Houndstooth Plaid would be added to my wardrobe as soon as I saw it in the most recent Style Guide. This blazer is breathtaking. There is only one review on the J. Crew website for this blazer at this point, but that reviewer totally agrees with me.
I do not like rushing in the mornings, so I plan my outfits months in advance, but this beauty is at the top of my “wear it immediately” list:
The details inside the blazer are exquisite. This lining is SO fab.
This is the website image that sold me on this beautiful blazer:
Fit Details: I took my normal size 12 in this blazer, so the fit is TTS. I am drawn to blazers because they’re easy teaching outfits for me. This blazer is so unique, classy, and preppy. It fits my style completely. And, I love the striped lining inside the blazer because it pairs so well with the red plaid. It’s an unexpected yet totally amazing combination in my opinion.

wow!! I love red and blue plaids, so classic. That blazer looks so great on you — I was not even considering it and now it's on my wishlist for sure! Thanks for the review–
Julie Taylor: I love the red and blue plaid, too. It's a really striking combination. And, thank you SO much. I really appreciate the compliment!I hope that you have a fun weekend planned!
You are smart to plan your outfits in advance! This looks great on you. The shoes are just right with it.
cate: I do not rush well at all, so planning outfits in advance is a must for me! And, thank you SO much. Happy weekend!
This blazer would have never been on my radar, but then I come here and its a must have!! Question: Do you think I can wear it with a camel colored pencil skirt for work? I'm trying to think of different ways to style it (including the jeans look that you are rocking so well!)
HollyS: Thank you SO much! It really is a fantastic blazer. I totally think that you can wear the blazer with a camel skirt. The pattern would pop really well against camel. Please let me know if you decide to get it!
Thanks for the tip.I ordered it today. I coudn't resist, and I got the Perfect Shirt in classic stripe too. Now I can't wait to stalk UPS.
Hi Rynetta! You and Andrea (tweed&toile) sold me on this one…and not the website! In the pictures on the website I didn't notice the touch of navy trim by the collar. When you click on the image to make it bigger they have the blazer shown with out the model and it doesn't have the navy trim at all. I got it on pop back but it's not the size I've been taking lately so we'll see if it works for me. I have a few ideas for this blazer, *rubs hands together like a mad scientist*Happy New Year!
