Hi Everyone!
I knew that I would add the J. Crew Collection Nautical Wrap Sweater-Skirt to my wardrobe the moment that I saw it. This skirt is SO striking, unique, and fun.
Here is an IRL picture of the skirt:
And, here is a side-by-side image that shows the model shot that I copied:
Fit/Details: This skirt is absolutely stunning and adorable. As a reviewer notes on the J. Crew website, the material is heavy, but that is to be expected since it is a sweater skirt. Thinner material would make the skirt unflattering because it would show all of the undesirables. The heavier material helps to keep the structure and the shape of the skirt intact. And, the heavier material helps to hide lumps and bumps. The length helps to elongate the legs, which makes this skirt both super flattering and slimming. The fit is TTS to slightly large. I took a size Large in this beautiful skirt.
I love how this skirt is styled in the model shot with the Saint James for J. Crew Turtleneck. I highly recommend this turtleneck, too. The material is a heavier cotton that keeps its shape really well. The turtleneck is slightly short and boxy, so I recommend sizing up. The J. Crew Tissue Turtleneck T-Shirt in Stripe (another one of my faves) would also work well with this skirt.
Finally, I love the idea of wearing leopard with this outfit. My shoes are sold out (they’re the J. Crew Collection Dulci Calf Hair Kitten Heels), but the J. Crew Colette d’Orsay Pumps in Leopard Calf Hair would work, too.
Thanks for stopping by!
