I have a review of the J. Crew Collection Metallic Skirt to share. As you know, I am a huge fan of J. Crew pencil skirts. The fit, the quality, and the design of their pencil skirts = total winner in my opinion. Initially, I was concerned that this skirt would be too holiday to wear into February/March, so I purchased the skirt and returned it. Then, I had major regret. I am so grateful for my amazing VPSs who tracked this beauty down at a retail store:
Fit Details: I sized up *one* size from a 14 to a 16 in this skirt. The skirt does not have much give, so I suggest sizing up to the larger of your two J. Crew sizes. The pattern is absolutely stunning. I am totally convinced that this skirt can be worn outside of the holiday season, particularly if it is paired with chambray. This skirt is definitely collection quality. A winner all around!
Here are the two styling images that (re)inspired my purchase:
I LOVE the idea of pairing this skirt with the J. Crew Shrunken Boy Shirt in Emerald Buffalo Check, but my amazing husband is not a fan of the combo on me!
So, I went with this pairing, which features the J. Crew Denim Jacket in Tyler Wash, the J. Crew Selvedge Chambray Shirt (I’m wearing the J. Crew Always Chambray Shirt in these pics), and the J. Crew Collection Dulci Calf Hair Kitten Heels. I was surprised by how much I loved the denim on denim combination:
I cannot wait to wear this outfit!
Thanks for stopping by!
