Hi Everyone!
I was trying to avoid grabbing anything during the J. Crew 30% off sale promotion……..that didn’t happen, LOL!
I decided to grab the Raindrop Lace Top in Navy.
I have the Raindrop Lace Top in Neon Azalea, and I love it!
Also, I hope that I’m not the only person who does this, but I grab duplicates from time to time to make sure that I have a back up just in case something happens to my favorite items. Crazy, I know. But, the No. 2 Pencil Skirt in Double-Serge Cotton in Succulent Green is one of my all time favorites, so I grabbed a back up for $25.00:
Finally, here is a quick snap of a future OOTD featuring the J. Crew White Bubble Necklace and Perfect Shirt in Dotted Chambray:
Did you purchase anything during the recent 30% off promotion? Do tell!
Thanks for stopping by!
Oh Rynetta! I love that top! I have not bought a backup, except perhaps a white tee, but I have sure bought duplicates!I keep forgetting to mention I have started a blog! http://onecantgetoverthehabit.blogspot.caCome visit me – love your blog!I still do not have a bubble necklace – I keep hoping they may be on sale when I visit the bricks and mortor in Boston in a couple of weeks!
Check out the Factory version of the bubble necklace! It's cheaper (was originally $69, but they've bumped it up to $88) and the scale is smaller but I actually like it better on me. It does not come in as many colors, though.
Hi WMM!! I am SO glad that you've started a blog!!! I'm following you, and I've added you to my blog roll. I'm SO glad that I am not the only person who buys duplicates!!!Cate: You're spot on about the factory version of the Bubble Necklace. I really like it too! Thanks SO much for being here ladies!
Rynetta, I love the way you styled the white bubble necklace with the polka dot chambray shirt! I'm ordering both of those items through my PS!
AD MD: Thanks SO much!! I've loved the website image featuring this combination from the moment that I saw it. OOOOOO, please let me know what bottoms you pair with these items. Thanks SO much for being here!
I'm pairing them with the pleated mini in awning stripe or the big shot dot skirt! For an even more casual look, I'm planning on pairing them with a pair of chino shorts! I also ordered the camp stripe popover in navy to layer with this shirt!

Angie's Closet: LOL!!!! Now, I don't feel so bad! You purchased great items! Thanks SO much for being here!
i got the factory lorelei dress. i got the white one during the last 30% and loved it so much i got the black one. i really want the scatter-dot dress. i might break down and buy it. i am definitely the person that buys back-ups. i also buy things in different colors and sometimes different sizes just in case.
Elle: It's SO good to know that I'm not alone when it comes to buying duplicates! You purchased great things during the promotion! Thanks SO much for being here!
I love your ootd. The white bubble necklace is the only one that I like. The outfit looks great on you. I want that top in nude, but my size is sold out.
A: Thanks SO much!!! I really like the white bubble necklace. I love the nude raindrop lace top, but nude looks horrible on me up top unfortunately. Has your VPS tried to locate one in a retail store? What size do you need? I'll definitely look out for one for you. Thanks SO much for being here!
It's a great deal to grab a backup at that excellent price! I didn't buy anything for this 30% promo. I was tempted to get a few things but I still got quite a few tops still with price tags on so I think I " overbought" during the in-store sales earlier 🙂
Small Town Gal: I totally agree! I kept thinking that the price was just too good not to get a "just in case" back up. Trust me, I know the feeling of overbuying, LOL!Thanks SO much for being here!
I ordered backup white linen shirt and white 5" chino shorts. Raindrop top will be perfect with the green skirt, yay!
ajc: I'm SO glad that I am not the only person who buys duplicates!! And, I'm with you, I can't wait to pair the navy raindrop lace top with the succulent green skirt! Thanks SO much for being here!
you have THEE cutest style! I have the succulent green skirt and the chambray dot shirt…and you just totally gave me the idea to wear together! awesome!
Nicole: Thanks SO much, you're super sweet!!! OOOOO, what a great idea to pair the chambray shirt with the succulent green skirt!BTW, I've been trying to follow your wonderful blog, do you have a follow tab? Thanks SO much for being here!
Clearly I'm a newbie,– just added the "followers" gadget to my blog — hoping to get some posts up today! Thanks!
Nicole: No worries, trust me, I understand!! I just wanted to make sure that I could follow your wonderful blog!!!! I'm adding you to my blog roll now!! Thanks SO much for being here!
love the color of that skirt! And I really want a turquoise bubble necklace but can't seem to pull the trigger on the hefty pricetag. I know they're a lot of knockoffs on ebay but I kinda want the real thing. Was the price worth it to you?? Thanks for any input!!
Jessica: me too! The succulent green color is one of my favorite colors!!! About the Bubble Necklace: okay, I may be the wrong person to ask, LOL, because I own every color of the necklace with the exception of the citrus lime. I LOVE this necklace, and I think that it's worth full price, but I know that a lot of other people don't. Just in case, some Etsy sellers also have cute versions of this necklace. Please let me know what you decide–I'd love to know how you style the necklace! Thanks SO much for being here!
Lol on the backup purchases! I have two white vintage cotton tees:) Notorious for holes. I purchased way too much, but some things didn't come up final sale, so I'm hoping to take back if I don't like. Love your bubble necklace! I still don't have one, amazingly. Awesome score on the pencil skirt!
biscuitsandnavy: Thanks SO much!!! LOL about purchasing duplicates!!! You're right about the vintage cotton tees. And, you're right, 25.00 was just too good to pass up for a duplicate.BTW, I'd love to add your wonderful blog to my blog roll. Do you know if I can since it's on WordPress? Thanks SO much for being here!
Hi Rynetta! So sorry about the double post, I'm obviously a newbie:) I would love to be added to your blog roll and I'm pretty sure you still can add me even thought it's on wordpress. All of mine are blogspot. Thank you so much for your support, I'm so grateful! Us JCA's have to stick together:)
Lol on the backup purchase! I have two white vintage cotton tees. Notorious for holes. I purchased way too much, but some things weren't marked final so I'm hoping to take back if I don't like. I love your bubble necklace! Amazingly, I still don't have one. It's like a JC staple piece. Great score on the pencil skirt too!
I love those purchases! The white bubble necklace looks great with the chambray dot perfect shirt. I love the raindrop lace top in navy, it would look fantastic with the green skirt (want!). I tried some things in the last 30% off sale, but I returned most. I am always drawn to the pencil skirts but I can't buy those because I have nowhere to wear them. Every now and then I make an exception 😉
cate: Thanks SO much!!! I'm looking forward to pairing the navy raindrop lace top with the succulent green skirt. I hear you about making an exception. I think that I'm going to force myself to wear a pencil skirt everyday! Thanks SO much for being here!
I have regretted not buying duplicates before, especially of shoes. I have two pairs that I adore and they are falling apart because they've been loved so much. The white bubble necklace looks awesome with that shirt. Did it feel awkwardly big the first time you wore it? I'm worried that I'll be too big for me, but I drool every time I see someone else wearing it.
Christy: I hear you about regretting not buying duplicates of certain items, especially shoes. I can be really hard on shoes so I get that totally. Thanks SO much for your compliment–I love how this white bubble necklace looks against the pink. Initially, I stayed away from the bubble necklace. I wouldn't even go near it in the jewelry case. Somehow, my personal shopper convinced me to just try it. I LOVED it and didn't want to take it off. Now, I have several of these necklaces. Please let me know if you try the necklace. I'd love to know what you think! Thanks SO much for being here!
