Hi Everyone!
I received the No. 2 Pencil Skirt in Tinsel Tweed yesterday. I really like the skirt. The problem, however, is that it was damaged right out of the package. As you can see in the second picture below, there is a snag on the skirt in the back. My wonderful hubby noticed it immediately and said, “I cannot believe the person who packaged the skirt didn’t see that snag.” I can’t believe it either.
I called CS immediately, and they’ve already sent me a new skirt. Hopefully the new skirt will be snag free!!
Here are a few IRL pics:
In these pictures, the skirt looks blue; however, it is a beautiful shade of purple. I know that there has been some discussion about the material content, particularly the acrylic in the skirt. For some reason, this doesn’t bother me. I don’t know if I’ve been drinking too much crewlade or not, but I really, really like this skirt.
Here is the website picture; I really like the styling.
What do you think of the No. 2 Pencil Skirt in Tinsel Tweed? Do tell!
I looks great on you! Enjoy:)
I'm not sure I can see the snag or not – but I have a feeling it might be similar to my vintage tween pink skirt. It had a kind of "pulled" yarn looking thing on the side…and it got another one after I wore it a few times. Hope that's it! If it continues to unravel, it's going back!! Love that purple color, and like you, the fabric content on this doesn't bother me as far as 'feel' goes….but it better hold up! Right??
A: thanks so much! I hope that the new skirt is not defective!!Suzy: I am keeping my fingers crossed that your vintage tweed skirt holds up, and mine too! I haven't worn mine yet. I received the cashmere sweater you're wearing with it in your OOTD post, and I love it!! And, you're right, this purple skirt better hold up too! Thanks for being here ladies!!
I bought the blush pink tweed skirt and it came snagged too but I couldn't be bothered with the hassle of sending it back to the US so I've had to do a home darn job on it. Ah yes, mine is also doing what Suzy's is doing after just two wears.
Bourbon and Pearls: oh no!! I am amazed at the steady decline in quality. This is the first defective item I've received, and I hope for all of us that we don't receive anything else that has defects!!!
I just got the metallic boucle 2 weeks ago and then it went to sale immediately afterwards, so I am holding back for a sale, maybe. Enjoy!
Rose, I'm with you!! I grabbed the metallic boucle shortly after it was released on the website because size 14s disappear so quickly. And, unfortunately, size 14s are not sold in stores (unless someone returns in store). My jaw dropped when I saw the price drop on this skirt.
What a beautiful skirt! This fiesta purple color is driving me crazy right now…in a good way. I want it ALL!!!!! Thanks for the pictures! Hope your replacement skirt is without any snags 🙂
I picked up this skirt too, and just like yours, right out of the bag, there was a pull in the fabric. I didn't reorder though as in the end, i was a little disappointed in the fabric for the price — only 7 percent wool.
AppGal: I'm right there with you! This skirt is really beautiful, I'm just hoping that the new one is defect free!!Cleo: wow, I am speechless about the horrible quality. I will definitely post an update about the new skirt when it arrives. Thanks for being here ladies!
