Hi Everyone!
Here is the outfit that I wore to church earlier today! I love this velvet skirt. It’s super flattering and it pairs so well with stripes. The buttons down the front add that extra special detail to make the skirt stand out. The color of this skirt is divine, too. It’s a gorgeous rich burgundy that pops so well. And, as always, I love pairing a fun velvet skirt and stripes with a denim jacket. A classic denim jacket is without question one of my favorite wardrobe staples. I could wear a denim jacket everyday of the week to be honest. It’s just a great piece all around and it’s incredibly versatile.
And, we must talk about these gorgeous shoes. I love statement jewelry, but I absolutely LOVE a statement shoe that stands out and serves as the focal point of an outfit. These beauties are SO fantastic and cute. And, they are super comfortable, too! I will take stylish and comfortable any day of the week. There is another version of this shoe that is equally as gorgeous. The heel is shorter than the version I am wearing, but I LOVE this pair, too! I would also wear these gorgeous glitter mules with this skirt.
I have several other styling ideas for this skirt. I plan to wear it with a white t-shirt and a classic black denim jacket the way that it is styled on the Madewell website. And, I plan to wear a fun patterned boyfriend blazer with it, too! There are SO many styling options that make this skirt work, church, and date night appropriate. I love how great this skirt looks when paired with gold accessories, too. I think that the accessories–the earrings and the purse–add the perfect finishing touch. I did not wear tights with this skirt, but a fun colored pair of tights would also look great with the look. The styling options really are endless.
About sizing: I took my normal size 16 in this skirt, so the fit is TTS. There is a back zip and the skirt sits higher on the waist.
