Hi Everyone!
I stopped by the J. Crew retail store today to try on a few things with my personal shopper. I’m always inspired by the store mannequins and windows when I’m trying to style items. I thought that I’d share a few pictures that I snapped while in the store. I am LOVING all of the blues and greens in retail stores this season:
Here is a closer picture of the blue Tippi Sweater and the No. 2 Pencil Skirt in Warm Jade. I LOVE this combination! Now, I just have to figure out what shoes to wear with this outfit:
I was hoping that the gorgeous Kate Spade Simon shoe would work, but I think that the green shoe is much lighter than the Warm Jade color of the skirt–what do you think? Here’s the Kate Spade shoe:
Are you loving the J. Crew blues and greens as much as I am? Do tell!
Thanks for stopping by! I really appreciate you being here!!
Love the blue/green combo, I wear it a lot myself. Those Kate Spade shoes are darling but you risk being too matchy-matchy. I would wear shoes that match your hair, black, brown or nude if you are a blonde.
The display is so nice at the store. That's why I love to window shop sometimes, just to get ideas of color-combination. The Kate Spade shoes are cute but I'd rather wear something more neutral as there are blue/green on you already.
ajc: I love the greens and blues too! I agree, the Kate Spade Simon shoe is gorgeous, but I think that you're right about the look being too matchy-matchy with the Warm Jade pencil skirt. Thanks SO much!Small Town Gal: I totally agree about the store displays. I love looking at J. Crew window and mannequin displays!!! And, you're right about a neutral color shoe. Thanks SO much! Thanks a bunch for being here ladies!!!
I also love that gorgeous blue-green combination, it's just stunning. I still haven't tried the Tippi sweater but I think I should, I'm keeping my eye on it.I love your blog by the way, newest follower! Have a great weekend.
DaniBP!! Thanks SO much!! I am SO glad that you're here!!! I love your blog too. I'm one of your newest followers, and I've added you to my blog roll!!! I love your writing style and your super cute outfits. The Tippi sweater is really great. I own it in almost every color. I think that this sweater is really versatile. I'm really glad that J. Crew continues to release the sweater in more bright, vibrant colors.Have a great weekend, and thanks SO much for being here!
I like the blue, but not so fond of the green. I'd go for an animal print shoe and belt there.
Rose!! I totally agree with you about an animal print shoe. I have the Juliet midheels in the tortoise-ish animal print from a few years ago. I'm going to try them with this outfit. Thanks SO much!!!
