Hi Everyone!
I have several reviews to share today. Let’s get started!
The Pear Sweater:
A close picture of the design:
The entire sweater:
I LOVE this sweater! Here is one way I plan to style the sweater, thanks to my amazing retail VPS:
I love the idea of pairing this sweater with the Gingham Shirt in Navy and a red skirt! I’ll also wear this sweater with the Vivid Jade Pencil Skirt.
The Polka Dot Sequin Top:
I have this top in black as well. Polka dots and sequins? Need I say more? I’ll definitely wear this top with a button down blouse underneath. Check out a few lovely styling options for this top on the wonderful Tara here.
The Scattered Sequin Sweater–Poppy Navy:
I didn’t think that I’d like this sequin sweater because it looks a bit boxy on the website. However, I didn’t want to take this one off when I tried it on. I love the details, especially the navy trim around the arms and the top of the sweater.
Boy Shirt in Poppy Plaid:
I really like this shirt, too. The colors are vibrant and the material is really sturdy. This will be my cozy go-to shirt during the winter.
Chiffon Dot Top:
I own this shirt in Dublin Green and Navy–here is the navy:
This top is see through; it will definitely require a cami underneath. With that said, I really like this blouse. I love the details on it.
And, finally, yesterday, I spotted MSNBC political analyst S.E. Cupp wearing the J. Crew Silk Boy Shirt in Windowpane. This shirt is on the way to me. I’ll review it as soon as it arrives:
The lovely Gigi reviewed the Windowpane shirt here and the wonderful fshnonmymind reviewed it here. Has anyone else reviewed this shirt?
I hope that these reviews are helpful! Anything catch your eye? Do tell!
p.s. I have a set of J. Crew jewelry reviews coming up next!
Thanks for stopping by!
Hi Rynetta. I like the Sequin scattered sweater on you.
Hi Angie! Thanks!!! I really like this sweater and the other tops, too! Thanks SO much for being here!
I'm squealing w/delight over the poppy navy scattered sequin sweater, Rynetta!! It looks so pretty and sparkly. I had been contemplating it for Christmas, then nixed it figuring it's too bright but it looks so pretty. Definitely going to order it (along w/the grey) just to see irl. Thanks for the reviews!
JustVisiting: I totally agree that the poppy/navy scattered sequin sweater is really pretty and sparkly IRL! I actually squealed when I tried it on in the retail store! Please let me know what you think when you try this sweater! And, you're very welcome! Thanks SO much for being here!
ahhhh! Loving all the sequins in this post <3Tasia
Tasia: I love all of the sequins and sparkle too!!! It's just so festive! Thanks SO much for being here!
Love everything – was at the retail store today and added tons to my wish list! :). Not quite sure about the red sweater though…but the pear is too sweet and I adore the windowpane blouse!
Carolines Day: Thanks SO much! I absolutely adore the pear sweater and the windowpane blouse. Both of them are really striking IRL!Thanks SO much for being here!
Love all the looks on you and can't wait for the jewelry reviews. I am in love with the polka dot sequin top but I can't bring myself to pull the trigger. Decisions…Decisions…
tseabrook: Thanks SO much!!! The sequin polka dot top is really fun! Thanks SO much for being here!
You get great styling advice from your VPS! Love the way you'll wear the pear sweater. I have the Boy Shirt in Poppy Plaid, I agree it is very sturdy and vibrant. I won't mind if it fades a bit in the wash. Have you put yours in the dryer? I'm afraid to shrink it. I can't figure out how to wear it, other than over a tee or turtleneck with denim. Any ideas? Want to ask your VPS for me?! 🙂 Thanks for the reviews!
cate: Thanks!!! My VPS is really amazing. I call her often to get her to tell me what I should wear! I love the Boy Shirt in Poppy Plaid. I just grabbed it Friday, so I haven't worn it yet. And, I'm really odd about washing tops, so most often, I dry clean my clothes. About styling ideas: I'll ask my VPS (though I'm sure she's reading this and will offer advice, LOL!). She did tell me that this is the kind of shirt that should probably stand alone because the pattern is so vibrant, but also because the material is so sturdy. I'll let you know what she says! Thanks SO much for being here!
Thanks Rynetta! I've washed mine once, on cold, and I hung it to dry. It came out great and it didn't fade at all (since I didn't put it in the dryer). Keep me posted! 🙂
That pear sweater is adorable. The hen and heart didn't find their way into my closet, but this one might. You win, J Crew, you win.
Anthro Blogger: I totally agree! I literally squealed when I saw this sweater in the catalog! Thanks SO much for being here!
Love the pear graphic- I think it's my fave of the recent run of such sweaters- and it looks fantastic with the dark gingham contrast!!
thatdamngreendress: Me too!!! I love the navy/dark gingham contrast with this sweater as well. The gingham really makes the pear image pop! Thanks SO much for being here!
Loving all your pics as usual! Especially love the new header!!!!
injanuity: Awwwww, thanks SO much! It took me a bit to find a header that I really liked, but I'm loving this one! Thanks SO much for being here!
Darn it Rynetta – you have me lusting after some things now…I am seriously loving the gingham/pear sweater combo – seriously – it is divine!
WMM: LOL at the darn it Rynetta!!! Like you, I love the gingham and pear sweater combination. This is ONE of the many reasons why I love my amazing retail VPS. She creates striking/fun combinations that I'd never consider. And, shopping with her is really like shopping with my best friend! Thanks SO much for being here!
I'm glad that you reviewed the boy shirt in poppy plaid, I've been considering getting it but hoping it'll go on sale. It looks so cozy and the colors seem so bright and fun! Will you do a review or share a pic of the chiffon dot top in the dublin green? It's sold out online but I've been watching for popbacks and thinking about asking a PS to do a store search on it…The sequin sweater looks cute on you!!
Hi Erika! No problem, I'm glad that I could help! And, thanks SO much for your compliment about the Scattered Sequin Sweater. Like you, I think that the Boy shirt in Poppy Plaid is super comfortable. I will definitely post a review of the Chiffon Dot Top in Dublin Green. I tried to post a review tonight; however, the lighting was really bad, and I just couldn't get a good picture. Thanks SO much for being here!
