J. Crew Pencil Skirt in Jacquard Stripe

It is no secret that J. Crew pencil skirts are my love language.  I LOVE the versatility of a classic and timeless pencil skirt.  And, I love that a pencil skirt can be dressed up with a gorgeous silk blouse or dressed down with a graphic t-shirt and denim jacket.  The styling possibilities for pencil skirts are really endless. J. Crew has recently released several pencil skirts that I am absolutely LOVING.  The Pencil Skirt in Jacquard Stripe is without question one of my faves.  The fit is incredibly flattering and the bold stripe offers SO many styling options.  The skirt is offered in two colors, “navy ivory” and “olive blade.”  I purchased both colors and I love the idea of pairing the olive blade version with a floral print!  The navy ivory version looks great with a fun graphic t-shirt or the way that it is styled on the website with the Limited-Edition Ribbed Tippi Sweater with Embellished Collar, a dark wash denim jacket, and sequin shoes.

I love the idea of pairing this outfit with the Collection Coated Linen Trench Coat as well.  I highly recommend this trench; it’s incredibly unique and versatile.  I was worried about the color of the trench, but it looks fantastic when paired with bold colors and florals.  Initially, I ordered my normal size XL, but the fit was oversized and sloppy because there was extra fabric under the arms and in the back.  I would recommend sizing down in this beautiful trench.  I am wearing the size Large in this image.  I love the idea of pairing the trench with a floral print and with bold color earrings.  The trench is great quality and worth every penny.
