The J. Crew Micro-Pleated Midi Skirt is one of my absolute favorite skirts. This skirt is all kinds of fabulous, seriously. The material is light and airy, which will be a huge plus when it gets warmer. And, the pleats are so well done that they look flattering even if you’re heavier on the bottom like me.
Here are two IRL pictures of the skirt:
And, this is the mannequin image that inspired my purchase/styling. I copy mannequins, in large part, because I love the styling. I am a huge fan of the outfit combinations that J. Crew puts together. Most often, they are combos that are so striking that I would not have thought to put together. Moreover, I copy the mannequins because it’s nice to see how the outfits will look on a person:
Fit/Details: I took my normal size 14 in this skirt, so the fit is TTS. I tried the size 12 on and it fit, too. However, because this is not a pull on style (there is a zipper), the size 14 works much better. The waist band on the size 12 felt too restrictive for me. I highly recommend this beauty.
I am wearing the skirt with the J. Crew Garment-Dyed Pocket T-Shirt, the J. Crew Denim Jacket in Tyler Wash, the J. Crew Crystal Cluster Necklace, and the J. Crew Dulci Kitten Heels in Romantic Floral. I love the idea of pairing the skirt with the J. Crew Fringe Slingback Sandals, but I worry that the flats would make me look frumpy in this skirt.
Thanks for stopping by!
