Hi Everyone!
I received the J. Crew Hacking Jacket in Herringbone in Dusty Jade earlier today. Here are a few IRL pictures of the jacket. Please excuse the pink t-shirt. I’m preparing for the first day of classes, so these pictures were snapped quickly:
Here is a view of the back of the jacket:
And, here is a closer picture of the dusty jade color:
I’ll post styling pictures with this jacket later this week! What do you think of the J. Crew Hacking Jacket in Herringbone in Dusty Jade? Do tell!
Thanks for stopping by!
Love it! This is a fabulous color for fall :)Tasia
Tasia: me too! I totally agree that the dusty jade color is fabulous for fall!! I can't wait to wear this beauty! Thanks SO much for being here!
This is so much prettier than it looks on the website! Gorgeous!
WMM: I totally agree that the website image does not do this color justice. IRL the green is stunning! Thanks SO much for being here!
Ditto on the love it! It's such an interesting, but still classic, color. One of my fave things about the Hacking Jackets is that they are so, so timeless. Another fave is the button choice: English professor chic 🙂 I would love to see these jackets with elbow patches.
joyandsunshine: I'm with you, this is a great jacket/color. I know that it's going to be in constant rotation in my fall wardrobe. I love the English professor chic!!!! Thanks SO much for being here!
Looks beautiful! Would like to hear more about fit, lining, room for layers, etc! What did you think of it in that regard (function)? The weave and color are gorgeous! Thanks for the pic!!
Suzy: Thanks SO much!!! This jacket fits TTS for me. I took my normal size 12. I think that a lightweight sweater or button down shirt will fit great under the jacket. I think a thicker sweater would be too bulky. HTH!Thanks SO much for being here!
Beautiful color and it fits you perfectly!
Buffy Alten: Thanks SO much!!! I'm really loving this green color for fall!!!Thanks SO much for being here!
Gorgeous color. Looks great on you. Is it similar to the viridian green from last year? I'm assuming this fits like last year's hacking jackets?I fear it would swallow narrow-shouldered, short-torsoed me.If they would do the same fabric in a school boy, it would be a different story.
Mary G. Thanks SO much!!! I LOVE this green color. The green is a bit different from the Viridian Green color from last year. I'll do a side-by-side comparison and update this post with pictures. And, yes, this hacking jacket fits exactly like the version from last year. HTH!Thanks SO much for being here!
Love this jacket on you! The color is very nice.
Toyin: Thanks SO much!!! I love this shade of green!!!!Thanks SO much for being here!
I thought this color would be more foresty-green, which also would have been nice, but I really love this color. I have the herringbone hacking jacket from last season in the turquoise blue color (I forget the actual color name), and I think this is too similar for me to justify the purchase, but I really, really love it. Looks great on you too! Definitely a keeper!
cate: The website image does seem to suggest that the color is more foresty-green. I really like this color too; it's vibrant and rich. I missed out on the Turquoise color from last year. I waited too long! You're right, this is definitely a keeper! Thanks SO much for being here!
On my wishlist now! Gorgeous on you, Rynetta!Another Anthro Blog
Anthro Blogger: Thanks SO much!!! This is a lovely jacket/color! You'd rock it to perfection! Thanks SO much for being here!
Beautiful! The color, fit, everything…perfect.
Misty Lynn: Thanks SO much!!! You're super sweet! Thanks SO much for being here!
Looks great on you and I really like the color. Could you give more info about fit? How does this compare to the Schoolboy? Did you take your normal size? Thanks so much for sharing this with us.
Cheryl: Thanks SO much!!! I really like the color too!! This jacket fits TTS for me. I took my normal size 12. The schoolboy blazer fits similarly, I think. The difference, for me, is that the hacking jacket functions more like a coat, while the schoolboy blazer is a bit lighter. I hope that helps! Thanks SO much for being here!
It helps tremendously. Great description. I'd read the Hacking was a slimmer fit but I'm glad to hear you take the same size in both. I have big arms so take a 14 in the schoolboy. I'll order the same size in the Hacking. Another big thanks!
I actually like it with pink, it's like a Tippi Heart sweater.:))
Slastena: Thanks SO much!! I agree that pink looks great under this jacket, just not my pink Aruba t-shirt, LOL!!!!Thanks SO much for being here!
Pretty color for you, thank goodness not my color so I don't have to add it to the shopping list 😉 I like that pink tee, was about to ask about it …
tiffany rose: Thanks SO much!!! I hear you about adding stuff to your shopping list. Mine continues to expand! This is a pink Aruba t-shirt, LOL!!!!!Thanks SO much for being here!
The color is fantastic and no where near what is represented on the website (far better, imo)! They really need to get the colors straightened out and also get rid of the white background! Mini rant over;) Love the jacket on you–enjoy!
Rynetta, we have such similar taste in clothing and jewelry! I also ordered this blazer, as my favorite color is green… I couldn't resist even though I have the blue and moss green Hacking from last year! I'm so excited to receive this, even though we are months away from being able to wear it. I was nervous this color would sell out.
Green is my favorite color , so I am definitely going to check it out in store now. It does look pretty with the pink, and I bet it would look very sophisticated with black too!
my impression in one word? swoon! 🙂
I love this color. You should try the white bubble with it, like the Lucille dress. If that doesn't work, you have lots of other lovely choices, ram necklace, etc… 😉
so pretty!!!!
Lovely shade, I want to get hacking jacket made for me, and keep it forever. I'll probably go for a classic camel.
