Hi Everyone!
I was super excited to see the J. Crew Dreamweaver Ballet Flats in a retail store yesterday morning. I tried these beauties on, and it was LOVE at first sight. Here are 2 IRL pictures of the shoes:
These shoes are paired with the Gondola Stripe Collection Jacket on the J. Crew website; the outfit looks lovely. We’ll have to see if I’m brave enough to mix these patterns!
What do you think of the J. Crew Dreamweaver Ballet Flats? Do tell!
Thanks for stopping by!
Ooh, they are looking cute! I have a weird problem with some ballet flats bc a personal peeve of mine is seeing the outline of my toes through the toe – I know that's random, but that doesn't look like it would happen with the backetweave.I could see you pairing that with a ton of colors and prints!
Lisa: Thanks SO much! Your personal peeve is not random at all!! And, you're right, seeing your toes through the toe isn't a problem in these shoes. I'm with you, I think that I can pair these beauties with several cute patterns!!!Thanks SO much for being here!
haha…Rynetta, the day you say you HATE a pair of j.crew/madewell flats will be a day I keel over–LOL. These are so pretty on you. I hope you do decide to print mix with the gondola stripe! That will be a lovely combo!
AppGal: LOL!!!! You're so right, the day that you see a post saying that I hate a pair of j.crew/madewell flats, you should be concerned, LOL!!! Thanks SO much for the compliment about how these shoes look on my feet. I really like them! And, I think that I'm going to go for the pattern mixing with the Gondola Stripe print! Thanks SO much for being here!
I'll second what AppGal said, you do love your flats. I'm more of a heels person but I love the way you wear the flats with your pencil skirts.
xoxo: I do love flats! I SO wish that I could wear heels. I was actually dreaming about wearing the Dreamweaver heels, LOL! Thanks SO much for the compliment about how the flats look with pencil skirts. I always feel a little odd about not wearing a shoe with at least a small heel with pencil skirts. Thanks SO much for being here!
What size do you wear again? I might need to raid your collection of flats. Talking about your collection, I would love to see a snap of that collection 🙂
Economy of Style: LOL!!! I wear a size 9! I will definitely do a post on my collection of flats soon! Thanks SO much for being here!!!
I am with Appgirl – they look so cute on you and I know you love your flats! I wore my Lulu patent flats in the berry colour today – they were super comfortable! I was breaking in a pair of heels yesterday and my work day lasted 4 hours longer than I anticipated and I hobbled to the car, all the while telling my feet that tomorrow would be a flats or bedroom slipper day! The latter would have been hard as I had a ton of meetings!
WMM: Thanks SO much for the compliment! OOOOOO, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, the berry color of the Lulu patent flats. I saw my personal shopper wearing those shoes one day, and I had to have them! Oh no about hobbling to the car after a long day in heels. I hope that your feet are feeling better!!!Thanks SO much for being here!
I'm so in love with the ballet shoes. They are just too darn cute. I like the flats better than the heels. Great buy!!
Small Town Gal: Thanks SO much!!! These shoes were love at first sight. I knew that I had to have them after I tried them on! By the way, I think that I need that Tillary Canvas tote after seeing your great review! Thanks SO much for being here!
Those look lovely on you! How does the weaving feel? I didn't know if these would be stiff and uncomfortable and the weaving plasticy feeling. I'm glad you found them in a store – I'll have to keep an eye out for them. I wear way too many black shoes. I want to branch out but it's hard. These may be a baby step for me. 🙂
Kristin: Thanks SO much for the compliment; I really appreciate it! I LOVE these shoes! The weaving actually feels great. Like you, I was concerned that it would feel plastic-y, but it doesn't. And, the weaving is quality; it's really tight. These shoes would be a great step toward branching out from black! Please let me know if you try them. I'd love to know what you think! Thanks SO much for being here!
Cute! I think we share a similar addiction to ballet flats :)Oh, I received my raindrop lace tee yesterday and it is perfection! I was a bit hesitant about paying full price, but there's no way this one is going back!
ifky12: LOL! You know what they say about great minds!!! OOOOOO, I am SO glad that you got the raindrop lace tee, and that you love it! I absolutely love mine! I'd love to know how you style the top! Thanks SO much for being here!
I haven't quite figured out how to style it, lol! I bought it mainly to wear out on date nights with the hubs, and thought I'd pair it with jeans and heels. The problem is, the navy doesn't really work with dark denim, and I don't know if I'm body confident enough to pull off white jeans. I may have to find a lighter pair of jeans!
I've been curious about these flats – they do not have them at our store. I'm with you – wear many more flats than heels. Heels for me can usually only be wedges, or heels 2-3/4 inch or under. So I always love your reviews of flats! Thanks for the pics too!
Suzy: Thanks SO much!!! You're very welcome. I grabbed these shoes when I was in San Francisco; my local retail store doesn't have them either. Like you, I can only wear very low heels. I'd be in the hospital if I tried to wear high heels. I have to live vicariously through other people who can wear heels, LOL!Thanks SO much for being here!
