Hi Everyone!
I have a review of the J. Crew Chevron-Striped Dress to share. I absolutely LOVE the design and the fit of this dress.
Here are three IRL pictures of the dress:
The back of the dress:
I took my normal size 14 in this dress. I am wearing the dress with the J. Crew Classic Merino Wool Long Cardigan Sweater and Mirror Metallic Kitten-Heel Sandals.
Thanks for stopping by!
Thanks for reviewing the dress. I especially love the design of the back. Congrats on your quote in the New York Times article on J Crew!
Awakening my Wardrobe: You're very welcome! I love the design of the back as well. I don't like to show my arms, so sadly that detail will be hidden when I wear it. And, thank you SO much!!!Have a great weekend!
I really like this dress. It immediately went on my wishlist, when I first saw it on-line. The cut, pattern and color are just perfect. Great idea pairing it with that pretty necklace. It was fun to read your quote in the NYT article. You are quite the celebrity!!
maryeb: I really like this dress, too. The fit, the fabric, the design = superb! And, thanks so much for the styling compliment! And, LOL about the celebrity!I hope that you have a fun weekend planned!
Beautiful! If I needed another blue dress, I'd try this one! It's a great design and looks great on you. Also, congratulations on the NYT article. Cool!
Vava: you're super sweet, thank you SO much! I really appreciate your feedback!Happy Friday!
Is this the same Professor Davis that taught at SUNY Brockport in 2006/2007/maybe 2008? If it is, what an unbelievable stroke of luck that I found you from your quote in the NYT J.Crew article! Your classes (and you) left a lasting impression on me, and just wanted you to know! If it isn't you, you have great style anyways and keep on killing it! 🙂
Hi Sarah! YES, it's me! Thank you SO much for your kind words about my classes/style, that means SO much!!!!

Moody Girl: You're super sweet, my friend! I appreciate it!!! I cannot wait to see how you style this beauty! I'm missing seeing your smiling face in Chicago!
I really love this on you Rynetta! The back is amazing!
Tara: OMG, thank you SO much!!!! I agree, the back is stunning!!!!
J Crews biggest error is the ugly clothes they have been making lately – the change to the pencil skirt, with the seams emphasizing the thighs, the weird cropped jumpers and boxy dresses… it's all awful.
Annie Smith: I agree that there have been some questionable items lately; however, I still find much to love at J. Crew. The seams on the No. 2 Pencil Skirt in Cotton Twill ruined the skirt for me, but that pushed me to try several dresses, which I absolutely LOVE.Thanks for commenting!!!!
love this dress on you. the back is lovely…hope you take off the cardi and show it off. i am like you in many ways…i am trying to show my arms more and more …its uncomfortable at first…but i am slowly getting more confident. good luck. Carolyn
Carolyn: Awwww, thank you SO much! I hear you about the arms, but I'm not sure that I will get there. It's not a confidence issue for me, I just prefer to have my arms covered I am glad to hear that you're getting more confident about showing yours!!!!Thanks SO much for commenting!
Is the necklace also J. Crew? It's really lovely! And so glad I found your blog!
dawsonsed: I am glad that you found my blog, too! The necklace is new J. Crew. It's available in retail stores now; it will be released online this Monday!Have a great weekend!
