Hi Everyone!
I am sharing two of my recent/favorite J. Crew dress purchases! The Collection Thomas Mason for J. Crew Gingham Dress is absolutely stunning. The dress is seriously amazing.
Here is an IRL picture of the gingham dress:
Fit/Details: This dress fits TTS. I took my normal size 14. I love the design, the fit, and the quality. The sash/bow is amazing. I love that feature because it’s not only super cute, but it hides the lumps and the bumps in the midsection. The material is really breezy/airy, too. I highly recommend this gorgeous dress. I paired this dress with the J. Crew Cotton Jackie Cardigan in Bitter Lemon. And, the J. Crew Pearl Twisted Hammock Necklace adds the perfect touch to this outfit! Pearls + Gingham = perfection in my opinion! This dress is styled with flats, the J. Crew Woven Cork Flats with Ankle Straps, on the website. I love that pairing, but I needed a little bit of lift, so I am wearing the J. Crew Mirror Metallic Kitten-Heel Sandals.
The J. Crew Wrap Dress in Cotton Poplin is equally gorgeous/fabulous. The Fit is TTS as well. And, I love this sundrenched pool color:
I highly recommend this dress, too!
Thanks for stopping by!
You look great in both even though I think the first one looks better. I think the issue is the first dress seems more substantial whereas the second might provide volume but not drape, if that makes sense. Maybe it's the material. Does the material for the second one wrinkle a lot? Thanks for your reviews!
st: Thanks SO much for the compliment. I totally get what you're saying, and I agree. And, the material does not seem to be wrinkle prone, but I snapped this picture immediately after removing the dress from the box/hanging bag. And, you're very welcome. Thanks for stopping by!
The dresses are incredibly flattering and finally–dresses made to sit in without riding up! However, I think the look would be perfect if you sized down in the sweater. A smaller cardi would be more fitted and would lend itself better for a more polished look.
Catherine: Thanks for reposting your comment here! I appreciate the compliment about the flattering fit of the dresses. Sizing down in the sweater would make it too short and too small. Take care!!!
Anytime. I'm loving that dress so much that I may end up making the purchase!
This is such a gorgeous look, love it! <3 :)xx MaluMaluSwartjes.com | The online destination for fashion inspiration, beauty tutorials and lifestyle tips & tricks.
Malu: thanks SO much!!!
I have the Thomas Mason dress at home right now and I am in LOVE with it. I have a wedding July 9th and I'm also attending the rehearsal. My sister thinks it's more of a day wedding dress but I'm dying to wear it to the wedding (5:00pm). Any thoughts on that?
Molly Leary: I think that it works for a 5:00 pm wedding, especially if you add the right accessories! Are you planning to wear a necklace with the dress?
Definitely a necklace! I'm down to the wire here but still searching for sparkly accessories. Thanks for the feedback!
